On Thursday September 8th Microsoft launched their most advanced ERP solution: Microsoft Dynamics AX® 2012. This solution focusses on supporting and registering all business processes of large companies which have international business units. Being a top export country, there are a lot of Dutch companies that operate in this multinational market place. Simultaneously with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, Schouw Informatisering launches the food industry specific add-on SI Foodware® to meet the extra needs of food companies.

 

The diverse requirements of the food industry

Schouw Informatisering is already a leading party within the SME segment of the food industry for Dynamics NAV combined with the industry developed add-on SI Foodware. Together with the extensive food-specific knowledge, Schouw focusses entirely on the food industry. Although this combination offers the perfect ERP solution for many food companies, complex organization with for example a large number of employees on various international locations proved to be more difficult to serve. The addition of Dynamics AX 2012 enables Schouw Informatisering to also provide these companies with right solution and food expertise.

 

SI Foodware functionality for Microsoft Dynamics AX

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is a flexible solution which offers basic functionality like finance, procurement, sales, marketing and HR management. The flexibility of this system enables the possibility to add industry-specific functionalities and optimize existing functionality for a specific industry. Examples of functionality and optimization added by SI Foodware to Dynamics AX 2012 are Product Specifications, Returnable Packaging, Enhancements Order Entry, Expiration Date Check and Advanced Combining of Shipments. Currently Schouw Informatisering is one of the few Microsoft partners worldwide who provides a food-specific add-on to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
