Jan started at Provisur® in 2010 as Slicing Sales Manager for the Nordic and Baltic Region. In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership for the Formax® slicing line throughout Europe to identify new opportunities, provide sales support and develop innovative new slicing systems.
"Jan's depth of knowledge and global relationships, will help Provisur® as we further strengthen our position in the European market," remarks Ed Holslag, Director of European Operations. According to Holslag, recent and future acquisitions have led Provisur® to focus on specific brands to drive growth and best meet customers needs.
Jan's background, before he first joined Formax®, includes a role as general manager of CFS Middle East FZE, where he directed sales and distribution of convenience food systems in 21 countries. He also honed his strategic and technical skills by reorganizing the merger of two trading companies in the Benelux , through which he implemented a back-to-the-basics sales program focused on the food and packaging industry and spearheaded a new dual strategy and marketing approach for the food industry.
Fluent in Dutch, German and English with a basic knowledge of Scandinavian, Jan received executive management training at the University of Sankt Gallen, Switzerland and completed Leadership Development at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands.
