After the successful premiere of USETEC, World Trade Fair for Used
Technology, in April 2011, the concept of the event is being refined and
improved still further. Two new product categories will be presented at
USETEC 2012: in the category "Tools and moulds" exhibitors will present
tools to complement used machinery and equipment. The focus will be on
precision tools for metalworking processes but – true to the tradition
of variety at USETEC – visitors will find tools and moulds for every
area on display from woodworking to plastics and rubber processing or
the food processing and packaging industries. The "Spar
e parts
and accessories" category will feature new accessories for every sector
of used machinery exhibited at USETEC. Spare parts and accessories for
conveyors and construction machinery will be an important category at
USETEC 2012. "Just like the area of services, the categories of tools
and spare parts supplement the existing range of products for the used
technology sector," explains Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess
GmbH, Weingarten/Baden, and organiser of USETEC.
USETEC's
technical sponsor, the Trade Association for Machine Tools + Tooling
(FDM), has made a key contribution to establishing the new product
categories. "The many machinery presentations provided by members of our
used machinery group help to set the tone at USETEC," notes Kurt
Radermacher, Managing Director of the FDM with not a little pride. "Tool
specialists are another important sector organised within our
association. These two areas complement each other very well and can
naturally be
presented together to an interested trade fair audience." Two prominent
suppliers are already in the starting blocks at the heart of the "FDM
area" at USETEC 2012 – IBT Ingenieurbüro Thiermann from Wiesbaden and
Georg Noll Werkzeugmaschinen from Neuß.
USETEC 2012 is very
popular among exhibiting companies both in Germany and abroad. With six
months to go before the next trade fair, the stand placements both in
the hall and outdoor areas are well-booked. Suppliers who have already
registered include all the well-known member companies of the FDM we
well as leading international dealers and manufacturers, such as
Allmendinger, BS Forklifts, DMG, Hammer Fleischerei- und
Großküchentechnik, Nagel Baumaschinen, PRESSTRADE, Putzmeister Concrete
Pumps, RAG Mining Solutions, TRAFIK BREMEN, Troostwijk Auctions and
JOSPEH VÖGELE. The strong demand for exhibition space has prompted the
organisers to remind all companies that have not yet registere
d to
secure their stand placements as soon as possible.
As USETEC
2012 will take place at the same time as the EISENWARENMESSE –
International Hardware Fair Cologne, the date of the trade fair is one
month earlier than usual. The doors of the World Trade Fair for Used
Technology will open in Cologne at the beginning of March 2012 (Monday 5
March to Wednesday 7 March 2012).
Visitors to USETEC will find
used machinery and equipment for every sector and branch of industry –
from construction machinery and commercial vehicles to robotics,
metalworking and woodworking machine tools and from plastics and rubber
processing machinery to food processing machines.
